Hi, I’m Sarah (middle name – Catherine!), a thirty-something wife, teacher and would be full-time crafter/baker.
I love spending my free time keeping my hands busy by making crafty bits and bobs. My passion is for mini makes so I focus primarily on accessories for children and adults, homewares and handmade toys or nursery items as well as the occasional piece of clothing for myself (when I can fit it in!). I love to use funky prints or vintage style fabrics for my sewing and can’t resist using materials which are both pleasing to the eye and a delight to touch – polyester is not my friend.
My love for making started when I was a child and was initially influenced the knitting matriarch in our family, my Great Auntie Vi, who taught me my first few stiches. My keenness to learn new things has not left me since childhood and over the last year or so I have been developing my crafting skills and can now list knitting, crochet, needle felting, sewing and free motion machine embroidery to my repertoire. I am always on the look out for a new craft to learn and once I start something new am not content until I feel I have mastered it to the best of my ability. I am a self-confessed perfectionist; whether novice or expert at a craft I always want to feel proud of what I produce and happy to share what I have made with others.

My other creative love is baking, I love to make tasty bakes for my friends and family and have even ventured into the realms of cake decorating on a few occasions. I love to eat homemade and in my everyday life enjoy eating as fresh and natural as possible with a fridge full of fruit and veg ready for the day’s makes. Just like my crafting I am always keen to try new things and to experiment with flavour combinations and ingredients in the kitchen.
When not creating things in the kitchen or my craft room (presently also known as the living room/dining table) I enjoy spending time with my lovely husband exploring the great outdoors, finding new places to eat or planning our next big adventure, as well as catching up with my friends and family as often as possible.
This blog will chart my journey of discovery as I endeavour to have many more creative explorations, learning new skills, developing old ones and occasionally indulging in the kitchen, I look forward to sharing it all with you xx
I’d love to hear from you and would be happy to discuss any opportunities, reviews or sponsored posts that are relevant to my interests and lifestyle.
